Hello! I am known to my students as “Miss Dana” and I am delighted to be a part of the SMCA faculty as the PreK 3 Co-teacher! I have over 8 years experience working with children of all ages as a camp counselor and classroom aide. I was originally studying Pharmacy, but switched to an Early Childhood program when I discovered my passion was teaching our youngest students to become lifelong learners! “Miss Merritt” and I have created a warm and nurturing atmosphere where we enjoy helping our students develop socially and emotionally, as well as academically, and spiritually. 

Our days are full and FUN starting with our morning meeting, snack times, music and movement, centers, literacy development, Bible Studies, Art and STEM projects,and much more, including NAP time! We are currently using the “Happily Ever After” curriculum for PreK which is well rounded and engaging. I look forward to spending time with your children in our classroom at St. Mark Christian Academy.
